Grace and Jonathan were the recipients of our Wedding Give-a-Way. Here is one of my favorite images of them together. It’s truly amazing the things people experience in a lifetime and Grace and Jonathan’s journey began with a big bang. They met the day Jonathan swore into the Marine Corps and that very same day Grace started nursing school. Their paths collided at a Halloween party and immediately they hit it off! Since that special Halloween night they have been through so many good times and crazy times from the stresses of nursing school to a deployment in Afghanistan and then to Grace getting lost in the wilderness. Grace was lost in Mount San Gorgonio for 3 days and 2 nights. On one of those nights she realized she had a picture of Jonathan in her wallet. Thinking she was going to die there she wrote Jonathan a little note on the back of his picture, “To my dearest Jonathan Ryan Cody, I love you with all of my heart and body and soul.” Grace wanted Jonathan to know that she loved him if they ever found her. Eventually Grace was found by helicopters and transported to the hospital.
